truth to the first and last of these complaints, particularly in
older guns with somewhat rough bores. However, since the X
bullet was first introduced, a dedicated series of changes have
been incorporated and today’s Triple Shock X, Tipped Triple
Shock and MRX bullets have resolved all three questions. The
new bullets are quite accurate and don’t present any fouling or
pressure problems at all. I was, therefore, anxious to deter-
mine whether the competition had learned from Barnes expe-
rience. Accordingly, I secured a supply of Hornady GMX bul-
lets in the 150-grain weight, as well as Nosler E-Tips in 150
and 168 grain weights, and tested these along with the Barnes
TSX 150, TTSX 168 and MRX 180 grain bullets.
